ENERGYNOMICS MAGAZINE ONLINE
184 pages of interviews, analysis and opinions, fully bilingual, are now available for all interested in the present situation of the Romanian energy industry. The printed edition will also be delivered in the next weeks and we will make sure it will reach, as it has been doing since December 2013, professionals in the energy industry in Romania, the managers of the most active companies and officials from regulatory authorities with responsibilities in the energy sector.
For them, we address the most topical issues, from the accelerated dynamics of the big players in Romania’s energy industry, to the transformations imposed by the new market design, from investments in renewable energies, to Romania’s efforts to join the OECD, from new technologies and new leaders, to the future of the nuclear sector, from financing through the BSE, to building renovation and other forms of energy efficiency.
Some ideas
CEZ became Evryo, the mission in Romania continues, we learn from Country Manager Ondrej Safar. “We have both clear sustainability objectives and a target of zero emissions for the year 2040, as well as concrete plans through which they will become reality. The entire economy, we and our customers, are at the beginning of a challenging period of major change. Related to the energy transition, many things will no longer be the same as we know them today,” Ondrej Safar tells us.
We invest in Romania over the long-term, told Framatome CEO Bernard Fontana, a major provider of services and engineering for the Canadian and global CANDU market opened recently a Bucharest-based office. ”These are exciting times for nuclear energy in Romania, with three major projects: the refurbishment of Cernavoda Unit 1, the development of Cernavoda 3&4 and the deployment of SMRs”, Bernard Fontana says.
Valeriu Binig, Director of Regulations and Antitrust, PPC Romania talks about the challenges of energy transition: flexibility, interoperability, cyber security. “For a long time in this sector, a physical separation was practiced between IT (Information Technology – practically, management informatics) and OT (Operational Technology – practically, process informatics). […] However, gradually, operators understood that data from OT is needed to effectively manage the business, not just processes – and gradually it came to the view that IT and OT are inextricably linked, but cyber security is critical”, Valeriu Binig warns.
Decision-makers, experts and managers are also featured in the new edition of Energynomics Magazine. Among them, Ondrej Safar – EVRYO * Bernard Fontana – Framatome * Valeriu Binig – PPC Romania * Luca Niculescu – Guvernul României * Alexandru Chiriță – Electrica SA * John Stuart – CRI * Robert Kenderessy – Solax Power * Adrian Dobre – Eurowind Energy.
We maintain an integrated approach on the entire industry, with four distinct sections for each large sector – electricity, oil and gas, renewables, thermo – and a section of general interest.
