184 pages of interviews, analysis and opinions, fully bilingual, are now available for all interested in the present situation of the Romanian energy industry. The printed edition will also be delivered in the next few weeks and we will make sure it will reach, as it has been doing since December 2013, professionals in the energy industry in Romania, the managers of the most active companies and officials from regulatory authorities with responsibilities in the energy sector.
For them, we address the most topical issues, from the accelerated dynamics of the big players in the Romanian renewable energy sector, to the promises of the big gas project Neptune Deep, from the investments prepared by Transelectrica, to new players and new leaders, from financing, to the need to rapidly modernise the electricity distribution system and the help that can come from battery technology.

OX2 has a portfolio of local projects totaling 620 MW, mainly in the wind sector, including the 99 MW project that was the subject of one of the most important transactions in Romania. Gradually, OX2 will diversify its technologies, including by launching into solar, storage and hydrogen projects, Lăcrămioara Diaconu-Pințea, Country Manager OX2 Romania, told us in an exclusive interview with Energynomics.
Transelectrica will start 22 new investments in 2025, and beyond the major investments, Ștefăniță Munteanu, Chairman of the Transelectrica Board of Directors, referred to the digitalization of substations and the increase in interconnection capacity. “What is even more important to say is that by 2030 we have more than 740 kilometers of new overhead power lines in preparation, in various stages, or in the works, more than 740 kilometers of new overhead power lines,” the Transelectrica representative said.
Gas production from the project is estimated at around 100 billion cubic meters of natural gas – as much as Romania’s consumption over 10 years, says Cristian Hubati, a member of the OMV Petrom board of directors responsible for the Exploration and Production division. “Neptune Deep is expected to bring production of about 8 billion cubic meters per year for about 10 years in the plateau period. It will also entail positive indirect effects in the economy, with an estimated additional revenue of 20 billion euros to the state budget and €40bn contribution to GDP,” says OMV Petrom’s CEO in an exclusive interview with Energynomics.
Decision-makers, experts and managers are also featured in the new edition of Energynomics Magazine. Among them, Cristian Nacu, IFC * Anca Dragu, BNM * Radu Hanga, BVB * Yevhen Yaremenko, SolarSK * Teofil Mureșan, E-INFRA * Adrian Manea, RPIA * Silvia Vlăsceanu, HENRO * Valeriu Binig, PPC * Gabriel Andronache, ANRE.
We maintain an integrated approach on the entire industry, with four distinct sections for each large sector – electricity, oil and gas, renewables, thermo – and a section of general interest.
