Wind Power Energy (WPE) a consulting and service company for wind and photovoltaic farms introduces in the Romanian market the BZEE – Academy for Renewable, internationally authorized by Global Wind Organisation (GWO). This is the first school of its kind in the South-Eastern Europe, fully authorized by GWO for all training modules.
WPE has partnered with BZEE – Renewable Energy School of Skills, an academy active in more than 29 locations worldwide. The Academy is present in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Brazil and since this autumn in Romania, at Constanta.
BZEE Academy was founded in 2000 by the largest companies in the wind industry, including Vestas, GE, Nordex and GL-Garrad-Hassan. They also established the GWO standard in Health and Safety at work.
“The new partnership with BZEE – the academy for Renewable Resources, is yet another step WPE makes into the wind industry. We see that the market is maturing and there is growing need for more specialists. The academy aims to prepare over 500 service and maintenance technicians for wind turbines, each year. The Training Center in Romania is the only one of its kind in South-Eastern Europe and serves all the neighboring countries, including Turkey. We have invested over 250,000 euros in classrooms, training centers and up-to-date facilities, where technicians can prepare themselves at the GWO standards. We have a functional wind turbine, which is used for teaching the practical part of the course”, Sebastian Enache – Business Development Manager BZEE said.
Romania, and mostly Constanta county, has over 1000 active technicians for service and maintenance of wind turbines. Their number will increase once the turbines will exit the warranty period. BZEE Romania will provide training solutions at international standards of quality, economically adapted to local needs. The Academy provides over 50 specialized courses for wind and photovoltaic industry, classrooms and a 1000m² training center, equipped at international standards.
