“We are in the midst of the energy transition, and I believe that women have all the capabilities to be formidable professionals, exceptional leaders, mentors, and key drivers of the innovative solutions that the energy sector so urgently needs. Recruiting, attracting, and retaining the best female talent in the sector is essential for maintaining gender balance and ensuring a swift and successful energy transition,” said Mr. Ștefan Gheorghe.
Mrs. Ella Ratcu added:
“Women in the energy industry, skilled professionals determined and diplomatic by nature, whose IQ harmonizes perfectly with their EQ, are equal partners and excellent professionals who have a voice at the decision-making table, both locally and globally. They can lead projects, people, and businesses, impart knowledge, inspire, and pass the baton forward. They can elevate energy diplomacy to excellence, a necessity especially during these uncertain times.”
Given the ambitious climate and energy targets to which the European Union has committed, there is time pressure to identify and attract the talent needed in the sector, regardless of gender, to achieve climate neutrality goals. Diversity can lead to increased sector competitiveness and improvements across its entire value chain.
“This event is more than a celebration; it is a recognition of the significant contributions women make to shaping a better future. Authentic leaders not only guide but inspire, and women in energy demonstrate that leadership, mentoring, and professional excellence are the driving forces that advance not only organizations but society as a whole. Through dedication, creativity, and vision, they show us that the future of the energy industry depends on collaboration, diversity, and engagement,” mentioned Teodora Mîndra, Program and Events Manager, FEL Romania.
